My second trip was Monday, 02Feb15, to a different venue of the 40 happening all over Tucson. I wandered around a hotel full of vendors from all over the world. Many items were mineral and crystal specimens that must make people ooh and aah all the time. Really beautiful stuff, but not what I’m into or looking for. I did find a large conference/ball room full of tumbled stones of all kinds and some minerals for wholesale/mass buying, and was drawn to a couple of things for personal exploration, but didn’t purchase anything. Then I went outside again to find the large tents near in the parking lot.

The one I thought I wanted to visit was closed, so I made my way through/around the rest. I came across one with more shiva lingams than I’d ever seen before, and was immediately in love. I talked to the vendor, who told me basic stuff about them that I knew, and I also asked a few more questions. I received one as a gift from a student/client a few years ago, and in time began to use it to connect to Archangel Metatron’s frequency. This means that it sat on my desk for probably almost a couple of years before he told me why I’d been gifted it. When I started doing energy work with Metatron for/on clients, I always held it, and also when I meditated and worked with him in any way. At this point I can access his frequency without it, but the intensity while doing energy work without it is about half that of when I use it. I’ve tested this when doing energy work over the phone for my mom, with clear distinctions when I’m using the shiva lingam and not.

I felt into whether I might get a large one for myself – simply because of being in love with these beautiful pieces – which didn’t feel right, and then found myself at a table supporting boxes of smaller pieces. They ranged from 1” to 5”, and I began picking some out. I saw that I can charge these for people to use for healing and empowering purposes in addition to the other stones, and this was pretty exciting – I hadn’t considered it before. In the end, I took home 33 ranging from 4” to 5”. I need things to look forward to in order to be happy (Jupiter rules my Moon), and suddenly here was another set of instructions from Metatron to create something extremely cool. Charging crystals is magick, or alchemy, and my Scorpio self needs some intensity and transformation to feel grounded and centered.

Smaller shiva lingams

Driving home, I could feel the dozens of stones on the seat next to me. It felt like a bunch of satellites, or radio receivers, tuned to a frequency that I love working with. I felt surrounded by friends, and so excited to charge them when the time comes. Because I can feel them, at home I put them in a closet I don’t often access so I won’t be distracted. The labradorite pieces purchased the day before don’t feel distracting, so they’re in my office until I begin working with them.

On the shiva lingam from a document given to me by Manny of Raj Minerals of Carteret, NJ :

“Tantric shiva lingams,” sacred to the Hindu tradition, are ceremoniously gathered once a year from the muddy banks of the Narmada River, one of the 7 sacred places of pilgrimage in India. Of those found, very few have the characteristics [and] patterning that make the tantric lingam so unique. They are naturally formed of a mineral called cryptocrystalline quartz, with iron oxide deposits said to have been implanted in the riverbed by a meteorite millions of years ago. Hindus worship lingmas in Shiva temples as a representation of the Lord. In the tantric tradition, the shape embodies masculine energy: dynamic expression and knowledge. The markings called “yoni” depicts [sic] feminine energy: wisdom and intuition. Together, the female energy arouses the masculine urge to create. The mineral composition and the shape make the stones unique as objects for meditation. They are said to contain the loftiest vibration of all stones on Earth.

In my experience, these stones balance masculine and feminine energy within a person, which is necessary for traversing multiple realms doing spiritual work. Shamanic traditions teach that the two energies within a person must be balanced in order for him or her to move between the worlds and deal with spirits. In my view, it’s the same with mediumship and channeling, as we are gendered only physically. Being balanced regarding masculine and feminine is in the direction of embodying the nature of soul, our Divine essence, which has no gender. These lingams enhance creative power, allowing masculine to do what it does while feminine does what it does. Of all the stones I use in my energy work and channeling, my shiva lingam is the one that packs the most punch. As it connects me to Archangel Metatron, it would have to be! He’s an intense being to work with, especially on a regular basis as I do. In Jewish lore, he’s said to be the right hand of God, second only to God. He’s so powerful, the story goes, that he’s the only one allowed to sit down in the presence of God, as he is a scribe of the records of Heaven. When these pieces are charged with his ass-kicking, empowering energy, you’ll be able to further your empowerment as a human in various ways I’ll spell out when they become available. As with all other pieces I charge, teach about, and offer, there will be documentation and instructions.

I asked Manny about getting onyx rough, and he said it’s probably not going to happen. He explained that most of it comes from rural areas in Pakistan, stretching into Afghanistan and to the border with China. He said it comes out of the Earth in big chunks and they mostly have no electricity in these areas, making breaking the rocks not a common thing. If they’re going to bother breaking down huge chunks of rough material, he said, they’re going to polish or carve it themselves, so I shouldn’t expect to find rough material anywhere at the gem show.

The last thing I asked Manny about was the shape of the lingams. I asked if they come out of the river like this. His answer was that the shape is natural after being tumbled in the river for a very long time, but that the stones are treated with increasingly fine grits of sand paper to bring out the patterning on the surface. He said that this is done by hand, and there’s definitely a different feel to them than the many machined stones available at the shows.

The more I talk with vendors, the more a sense of the global thing I’m involved in – it’s not just me getting some rock whether rough or polished, but it’s me participating in a level of global economy I hadn’t really thought about before in this particular way. It’s a great experience for transiting Mercury retrograde in Aquarius trine my Venus-Pluto in Libra in the 12th house: Making broader mental connections through talking to interesting people from all over.

Stay tuned for more! I’m headed to another venue or two tomorrow, camera in hand. I’ve also been doing a bit of audio recording, and may piece together a collage of a few conversations.
