The End of the Mayan Calendar is This Week

Full Moon of Libra Tonight

This is going down at 18 Libra-Aries. The Sun’s at 18 Libra, shining a light on relationship stuff – what’s fair, what is whose responsibility, what it takes to get on the same page. Included in this is that each person has at the same time the responsibility to hear the other as well as making sure the other can hear the self.

Saturn’s conjunct the Sun during this full moon, and so there is a certain gravitas added to what the light is revealing. Or, perhaps, it looks like a certain seriousness about the need to see what is going on in the relationship. There is a sextile from Mars in Leo to the Sun-Saturn conjunction, indicating that personal needs to express are driving at least of the motivation to get things out into the open/seen. This can be that what is under your skin about what you yourself are experiencing (a sextile from Mars) is contributing to you or the other person bringing something up for review. The sextile from Mars here is about the personal side of things affecting the needs of the pair or group.

The Full Moon at 18 Aries invites us to feel instinctively into what is best, what needs to happen.  The Sun-Saturn in Libra will bring in a lot of thoughts and words and ideas and verbiage and plans and more words and options and notions and and and … and the Moon here says, “Feel into it: What’s best?  Where are you?  What do you want?  What’s right right now, in THIS moment?”

Given Saturn in Libra opposing the Moon, there is some reality checking waiting for our instinctive sides, and the Sun here will offer the chance to see – really and truly see – what is going down. But will we let the Sun-Saturn voice of reason in the sign of the scales (weighing options, considering ideas and notions, deliberating about possibilities, etc.) overpower the voice of instinct? (It’s an intellectual place to be, that Libra. It’s a lot of mind and notions and ideas.) Or will we understand the tension inherent in the moment and see more into how we are wired? We each have assumptions we need to see, assumptions about self and other and what each is and should be required to do in a given situation.

One key to that is that the voice of instinct (Moon in Aries) comes via feeling. You can tell which part of you is answering a question tonight because if there are no words, it’s the Moon. If there are reasons, plots, scheming, plans, notions, etc., it’s Sun-Saturn in Libra.

Look into what’s up. Evaluate with reason what you are experiencing, and then feel into what you might need to do about it. With a full moon, more openness is called for. It shines light on an issue and there is naturally some tension about bringing things out into the open, especially with the voice of reason in the sign of trying to be nice, of learning how to be fair. We after all do not always know what is fair – it’s the human gig to experience life in order to learn it.

I’m about to go on a hike at my favorite hike-place in Tucson. I’ll be up on a mountain during the Full Moon, letting my mind take a rest. There have been plenty of Important Conversations today – talking and trying to get on the same page with my partner (lots of needed Libran talking this morning, including some Saturn-Sun light-shining action on certain issues). We did get on the same page, and so as far as I’m concerned, the work is done. Time to go out and enjoy being on foot, on the go – an Aries kind of night under a full moon in the desert.

Moon Void of Course in Pisces until Monday Morning

The Moon is in Pisces now, Void of Course until just before 5 AM Pacific time Monday. This happens in each sign after the Moon makes its last Ptolemaic aspect (these include conjunction, sextile, square, trine, and opposition) with another planetary body before it enters a new sign. The effect is that Moon is no longer conversing with the other planetary bodies, making for a sort of disconnect or misunderstanding of what we are feeling, sensing, and processing emotionally with everything else. It’s as though everyone’s inner self takes a minor sabbatical from the rest of the world. It lasts anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to here, over two days.

In this case, we have a pile up in Libra right now, but Libra is a natural quincunx to Pisces (and also Mars in Leo makes the same aspect from the other side), and the quincunx is not a Ptolemaic aspect. Moon began its Void of Course period in Pisces after making the sextile with retrograde Jupiter at just under 8 degrees of Taurus just before 9 AM Pacific time today (Saturday).

When the Moon is in this state, it’s best not to begin anything new. Best not to make decisions or set in motion plans for the future. It’s best for wrapping up old business, addressing and crossing things off to-do lists, and can be useful for feeling into what is and has been happening in order to sense and process.

This is a long one at just over 22 degrees. The durations of these periods vary, and 22 degrees equals just about two full days, so that’s a lot of time to keep ourselves from moving forward. › Continue reading

I’m proud to release today an important new e-book, Conscious Revolution: Tools for 2012 and Beyond.

It collects five channeled teachings I’ve offered as individual MP3s that the Ascended Master Djehuty originally intended to be offered as a set. Understanding and working with intuition and Spirit Guides, manifestation and creation, what soul is and how past lives affect our present lives, and turning fear into faith are covered.

These teachings are all about giving us tools to come out of past conditioning to step into our true natures as the powerful, Divine creators that we are. Can we accept the truth that we-as-souls, as portions of Divine Intelligence or All That Is, have created all that we have experienced? This is the invitation now as things on Earth change and shift unbelievably quickly.

The information is vital to us now as we head toward the end of the Mayan Calendar, but will serve us in incredibly important ways going forward. Djehuty is clear that mastering these concepts and tools will lead us into the next phase of human evolution.

Excerpt on Our Relationships with Animals, from “Approaching Love”

It is time for you to become more conscious of your relationships with other living beings.  Today I will speak about your relationships with animals.  You are now being challenged to grow into more of your true natures as humans; to learn to inhabit yourselves fully and be the Divine beings that you are, having these human experiences.  Humans have evolved collectively on most parts of the Earth in most cultures to think of animals as different from themselves.  As your societies have evolved and you have explored more, your conception of your true nature, your idea of who you are, one result in many places on your planet is that animals are perceived to be yet another natural resource to be used for your benefit.

This teaching I will share with you today is intended to support you in a course correction regarding your conception of, your attitudes about, and your treatment of animals – your relationship with them.  From some of your cultural and religious doctrines you have evolved into considering yourselves, humans, as above animals, as better than any other animals.  Some of you consider it your right to place yourself, to place humanity, at the top of a hierarchy.  That thinking is based on your judgments that come from your perceptions of consciousness.  You are now being invited to evolve your level of consciousness.  You are being asked to open, to see yourselves in new ways; to understand yourselves as energetic beings.  Inevitably, when you do this, which many of you are, you begin to see other beings as energetic beings as well.

This is natural for this stage of your evolution.  This is appropriate.  When you submit to your process of evolution, when you surrender to your evolutionary path – which eventually you will do if you intend it – what you find in the beings surrounding you…these beings will seem just like people.  The truth of the situation with animals on your planet is that, just as you choose to be incarnated as a human in order to fulfill certain karmic contracts based in love, your true nature, your true essence, animals choose to be incarnated in their particular bodies, in their particular forms in the same, precise way, for the same precise reasons: To support the journeys of their souls.
