[podcast]http://www.tdjacobs.com/media/ukep18.mp3[/podcast]

Robin Blue writes in to ask about feeling like she has a “wait” or “hold” order from life, and also about her two yods. I address her having manifested deception in her life as well. Hanne asks about her feeling that her soul has been re-birthed in her body following a stroke last year.

Checking in with Lilith

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 | Astrology, Chiron, Lilith | No Comments

The true Black Moon is in early Pisces conjunct retrograde Chiron in the first degree of the sign.

In many ways Lilith is not established in our vocabulary. Lots of us are curious and talking about her but we still seem to think that she is demonic and not much else. How many of us really want to delve into something we believe is demonic?

I retell Lilith’s story and separate out the myth we have received (that because of her demonic nature she should be feared and shunned, or abused and stomped on) from the archetype as we actually live it. Many of us, men and women, are running around living the energy and stories of Lilith. And there are some of us who know when we do so that we are not demonic.

I want more of us to get the real deal with Lilith. Check out my true Black Moon Lilith natal report if you want to know the whole story and how Lilith figures in your chart and life.

In Pisces, our connection to the wild/untamed within us and in the world around us is cultivated by surrendering to it. Lilith represents an energy we have generally not been taught to accept within ourselves and in others – if we or they cannot be controlled, the teaching goes, it’s bad and needs to be broken or forced into shape to get with the program…which is usually about control.

Pisces is the lens of the zodiac that always offers the invitation to go with the flow. It shows us how letting go of control is good for us. That Chiron is retrograding there now says that there are paths to healing through surrender and releasing (the illusion that we have any) control.

What invitation is here for you now? In Pisces it might be in your peripheral vision, making looking directly at it cause it to evaporate.

With Chiron and Lilith here, you need to feel into the moment. Feel into what you know you need to do now. It might have to do with this conjunction in Pisces, asking you to let go of your hesitancy to trust (surrender) that things are unfolding in exactly the way they are for good reason.

Saying that there is a grand plan is not the same as saying that there is such a thing as destiny – there is not. But for each of us, the unfolding plan has to do with experiencing elements of life that support our souls in learning what they signed up to learn. The true Black Moon Lilith and Chiron together in Pisces tell us that we can all let go more into the perfection of the unfolding of our individual plans.

That said, because we’re talking about energy and energy is mutable, our souls’ plans can be updated. If you don’t like something that’s going down for you right now, call me for a private session to find out what you are supposed to be learning and how you can do so and release the need for things to unfold in the way they are now.

Cardinal Grand Cross Predictions

Friday, June 25th, 2010 | Astrology | 1 Comment

Pluto in early Capricorn…square Jupiter-Uranus in early Aries.

Square Saturn in late Virgo but soon to be Libra…square Mercury-Sun in Cancer.

Want to know what will happen? Want to know about the financial markets, the ongoing drama with the Gulf oil spill? Well, all I’m prepared to predict is on the individual level.

I’m not much one for mundane astrology because we create the world around us. We create our worlds around us by the energy we are holding. What will happen with those external things? The truth is that no one knows. People have free will and then they create the world around them as reflections of the energy you are holding within you.

Are you afraid of what will happen with this Cardinal Grand Cross? Then you will create things to be afraid of.

If you decide not to be afraid of what you cannot control and will likely not touch you in important ways, then this post is for you.

Here’s what can be predicted for us on the individual level.

1. You will be challenged to change. Friction between bodies in cardinal signs

2. You will be asked to risk something big. Uranus-Jupiter in Aries square retro Pluto in Capricorn ask you to dig through who you think you are because of your history, what has happened to you before, and let it go so you can be present enough to feel what in the moment now is pretty exciting and will take you into some new way of being.

Saturn in Virgo opposing Uranus-Jupiter in Aries and square that Pluto invite you to be painfully realistic about the realities of the choices in front of you as you become willing to overthrow any stodgy or tyrannical voices within you that keep you from changing for the better.

3. You will be invited to give something up in the spirit of losing something deeply entrenched that just doesn’t work for you. And has never worked. Or worked when you were 12.

Pluto retroing through Capricorn involved in this cross guarantees that it is time for each of us to revisit any inner voices that might have been adopted from others in the past that we use to create our lives now.

4. You will be invited to go with your instinct. There is something coming up for you now that says, “I’m working with a time-limited window of opportunity and I want you to jump. I want you to leap into something you’ve always wanted to do and forget all the mental constructs in place that keep you from choosing it.”

The power of choice becomes unbelievably evident with this cross. Whatever you want to create, it wants to show you why you are not doing it. Scared of change? Hesitant to be seen as what and who you truly are? How important will you let those fears continue to be?

The cross wants to you give up the idea of yourself and get on with being yourself.

Comment here and tell me this cross is manifesting in your life. What are you being asked to give up and what are you being asked to leap into?

A Karmic Profile from the New Book The Soul’s Journey I: David Bowie

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 | Astrology | No Comments

Bowie is one of the charts featured as I explore the karma of some well known people in my new book, The Soul’s Journey I: Astrology, Reincarnation, and Karma with a Medium and Channel.

January 8 1947, 9:15 AM, Brixton England (rated AA).

David Bowie has his South Node (SN) in Sagittarius in the 10th house, conjunct Juno in the same sign and house. It’s also conjunct Venus in Sagittarius in the 9th.

Conjunct the North Node (NN) is retrograde Uranus in Gemini/4th. The SN ruler Jupiter is in Scorpio/9th, sextile Sun-Mars, square retro Pluto in Leo/7th, and inconjunct that Uranus. Uranus is actually the finger of a yod, too.

The SN in the 10th suggests that in his various lives, he’s defined by what he does for a living, or who he is in the world/outside the home. But his work is very Uranian, reflecting that he’s in touch with his inner Uranus and lets it inform his work. In the karmic past, he hasn’t gotten to really learn about and how to “do” Uranus, hence its conjunction to the NN – the SN is where we come from; anything opposite it is opposite where we are. But we know it’s part of us, so we can be determined to experience/express that part of ourselves, or feel we don’t get to/won’t be allowed to/don’t deserve to. › Continue reading

Profile: Marquis de Sade

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 | Astrology, Chiron, Karma, Lilith, Pluto | No Comments

I know what you’re thinking. That Jacobs. He’s such a Scorpio. Of course he’s doing a profile on this guy!

But it’s the guy’s birthday is why it’s happening. And the karmic story is pretty juicy, as you might imagine.

As much as we might be discomfited re what de Sade did and/or had others do or what he represents – pushing the boundaries of sex with violence (I know even my Scorpio self can at times!) – he was just another dude with a soul learning about how to be here and how to do this human dance.

To begin, his Pluto is in Scorpio in the 12th, a handful of degrees above the horizon. This is a strong placement for any planet. At the moment of birth it is rising over the Eastern horizon, showering its portion of sunlight to reflect on the Earth and the tiny squirming baby just born. So close to the Ascendant, there is a natural tendency for whatever it is doing in the 12th house to come out in the 1st. Essentially we need to read that Pluto as also affecting the 1st, so close to the Ascendant it is.

Next, his South Node of the Moon (SN) is in Capricorn in the 2nd house. It is conjunct retro Uranus in the same house and sign. He is raised in environments in which order is emphasized (Capricorn) but also where there is a lot of Uranus. The planet being retro says that Uranus in those environments works differently, which can lead to a lot of conformity.

Opposing the SN, conjunct the 8th house North Node (NN) is Saturn in Cancer in the 9th. The SN ruler I see as representing a person’s role in his or environments in various lives. De Sade comes from Capricorn in the 2nd-type places (including his family), yet he is wired to be Cancerian and in the 9th house. These are very different energies. It means that in his soul’s various lives he shows up as someone who doesn’t really fit in with the people he came from. › Continue reading

Uranus in the Houses and into Aries…with Jupiter on its Tail.

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 | Astrology, Pluto | No Comments

The last few days have been kind of a whirlwind for me. While I do remember that Uranus is natally in my first conjunct the Ascendant, I forget how its change of sign and house can therefore noticeably affect me. It is transiting my 6th house yet is calling up and poking my 1st house Uranus in the ribs, and me thinking about this has resulted in – poof! and/or voila – a post to discuss a way to look at this.

The house containing Uranus in your birth chart is the part of life that you need to become willing to create freedom and elbow room for yourself. It is where you need to recognize the ol chains that bind you and break out of them, leaving them behind and going toward awesome new futures that let you be just exactly who you are. And all that.

That house represents the part of life where you need to learn to be different, to learn to cultivate your difference and figure out just what it is for.

1st house: body, self-presentation, how you show yourself and show up, outward personality.

2nd house: resources, self-esteem and self-worth, skills, money. › Continue reading
