Announcing The Soul’s Journey I: Astrology, Reincarnation, and Karma with a Medium and Channel – a new book on astrology and the soul
With a foreword by Steven Forrest, this work explains Tom Jacobs’ unique brand of evolutionary astrology. How I approach it is informed in important ways by what he has learned from Ascended Masters and spirits of the deceased about the multi-life journey of the soul. Why souls pick the lives they do, what is karma and how to change it, what is the relationship of the soul to its many lives…all this and more is explored and then applied to birth charts and life stories to bring them alive.
Over twenty chart examples illustrate the four-step method of chart analysis included, a method that allows you how to open up the karmic story in each and every chart in a handful of minutes. Knowing about a person’s karma can help you help them in deep and important ways. Tom’s clients are consistently amazed at how well he knows them before they speak and his students are using the method and the perspective in this book to great effect in their own work.

Mercury retro in Taurus
The three-plus weeks of this installment of re-think, re-view, and re-everything in the sign of Taurus is about motivation, intention, and how we apply what we can do to meet our basic needs in order to ensure survival.
Everything in life that has to do with our skills and values systems does not have literally to do with our survival. Taurus however wants to make it so. This sign of the zodiac is motivated by slowing things down. When we Taurus we slow down in order to make sure that we are ensuring our own survival.
Taurus often looks like it is about money but money is simply a reflection of our self-worth and how we have gone about applying our skills in concrete ways. To get money you have to have skills and resources. To have skills and resources you have to pick a direction in which to put your energy. The direction has everything to do with your value system, what you find important.
Taurus therefore all comes down to our values and how we feel about ourselves. We develop self-confidence through this sign. We do this by proving ourselves to ourselves.
Mercury’s retro in this sign is for re-thinking what motivates you and how you turn your value systems and self-esteem into concrete results in day-to-day life. It might come out the sources of your money or what you do with it – where it goes and why.
Pluto’s Annual Retrograde
For the next five months, this little planet (I may always call it a planet) will appear from the earth’s perspective to be moving backwards. This happens each year for about five months, and gives us a chance to course correct on any and all of our Plutonian desires and processes.
Pluto is about power. Along each and every human journey we are to learn about the true nature of power. It shows up as being about dynamics between people yet is power always begins within.
When you go about learning about power you always find people more powerful than you. What you think it means when it happens and how you react is wildly, unbelievably important! If you decide you have to get stronger so that it never happens again, you buy into dualistic conceptions of power. You work to steel yourself so that no one can step on you again…or at least in the same way as the last time that hurt so much. › Continue reading
Chiron In Pisces
Chiron will enter Pisces for a bit coming up before its annual retrograde cycle. It will be in the sign of connectedness and surrender from April 21 to July 21.
This is the first hint of what those with Chiron in Pisces have to look forward to with their Chiron returns. This is the group born during these dates: Late March – mid August 1960, mid January 1961 – end January 1969.
I work with Chiron as an energetic sensitizer. Emotion is energy, and very often our Chiron sides are inundated with emotional information or even overwhelmed with it. When this happens we are not open to experience the world around us in ways that can bring the healthy and useful sides of our Chirons out. High Chiron expression includes living with an open heart. Encountering the world as beings willing to be as energetically and emotionally sensitive as we can be. To get there, we have to learn to work with our emotions and move emotional energy. We have to understand in deep ways how to function as the sensitive beings that we are without being stuck on certain experiences that hurt us. › Continue reading
