Libra Full Moon, 3/29/10

Monday, March 29th, 2010 | Astrology | No Comments

7:25 PM Pacific time, 9 degrees of Libra.

Full Moons reveal. They show us something about our path or our progress along it by reflecting to us something important about how things are going. The reveal is personal and often emotional.

The Sun in Aries now is about doing and beginning things without thinking. It can seem a no-brainer that we should always think before we act, yet Aries medicine involves feeling and then trusting our instincts. Your first response is the better one when we’re talking about Aries. We all get trained to look before we leap but the trick is in looking but not in each and every case then sitting down to ponder possibilities and options until we lose our inspiration. The spark within that Aries thrives on is our momentary inspiration. It’s the fire that rises up in us in inspired moments.

Evolved Libra listens. It also takes responsibility for speaking and being heard. Many of our usual Libran methods have us feeling underserved in our relationships, though, and Libra invitations/lessons (especially with Saturn transiting Libra now) are to get inside our conceptions of fairness and harmony and learn to live together better. Libra intends that we learn to love each other more by taking in the fullness each other person is. Listening to and taking in the perspective of our others is needed for that process.

The full Moon in Libra is about recognizing the reality that our choices affect others. We’re each in store for some learning in this arena, within a few days before or after this full Moon. How will you respond? How threatened are you when others want to have a sit down to work something out?

Here’s a general outline of what to expect: You feel inspired to act with the Aries energy in play. Someone in your life says, “Hey, wait a minute, we need to discuss this.” Make sure that all opinions are heard, and locate the part of you that can see the encounter as a chance to connect in an important way, not as an automatic hindrance to what you were intending to do. Perhaps after the conversation you’ll be inspired to meet the other halfway. Perhaps after hearing the other’s view you will decide you are going to do the thing anyway, in your own time and on your own terms.

The outcome of the plan you have in mind is with this full Moon less important than how you respond to the Libran invitation to make sure all sides are heard. Letting important others in your life show you something about your plan or path you are unable to see on your own (the gift of an opposition, which a full Moon is) is a high and healthy use of the energy of this full Moon. Take all the ways that the input of others can leave you feeling threatened and put them to the side. Replace fears of criticism with an appreciation of the opportunity to learn from another.

New Moon at 25 Pisces

Monday, March 15th, 2010 | Astrology | No Comments

It’s imminent at 25 Pisces. I’m in the middle of writing but am causing myself to take a break to write a little something out.

Pisces is the energy of surrender. If we trust in greater things (the right greater things) then surrender can be an amazing experience. We can connect to the flow of reality happening around us, thereby connecting with the energy of the universe, cosmos, or [insert your word for divnity here].

Pisces asks us to let go of our perceived need to control things and just trust life already. New moons are for feeling into something in order to let it be born out of our own personal dark, our own little personal midnights. Whatever we are feeling and doing (energizing and creating) become seeds for the coming month. What are you beginning? Are you trusting? Here’s for all you tracking where 25 Pisces is in your natal chart.

1st House: Are you trusting your body? It’s a complex set of systems that is remarkably simple in its communications to you. It has just two vocabulary words it applies to each and every situation in your life – yes and no. Trust your body that it’s working for you in your life, working to evaluate your choices and the world around you to help you get to new levels of discernment.

2nd House: Do you trust your values, what you think is important? Everything in your life is a reflection of how you feel about yourself. Try on trusting your natural wiring on deeper levels.

3rd House: Do you trust your mind? Do you trust your own voice and computer mind? Can you release control over your mind and open to receive something divine?

4th House: Do you trust your own feelings and who you are when no one else is around and the lights are off? Family and home reflect this level of inner reality. Can you open to the flow of your own inner, emotive world to receive some grounded connectedness to the rest of life? › Continue reading

Mars Goes Direct at 0 Leo

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010 | Astrology | No Comments

Mars went direct today in the first degree of Leo. The last couple of weeks it was slowing down in preparation, wrapping up its several month retro period.
Have you been touchy the last week or so? Noticed your friends and loved ones being a little agitated? Noticed people driving with a little more unchecked, um, oomph?
For months we’ve been challenged to check our motivations and get inside why we want what we want. How we go about getting what we want has been up for review, too. Retrograde periods seem to prevent forward movement relative to the planet that is retrograding. If we’re open to learning a few new things we can understand more about our usual/normal motivations. When things don’t work as we expect them to, we have the choice to get upset and frustrated or figure out new ways to do things.
Mars involves our passions and inner fire, and how we begin things. Leo has to do how we shine as individuals and how we run creative energy. If you’ve felt stalled on creative projects or getting yourself heard in the world around you, what you’ve been learning about why you do what you do is exactly what you were supposed to learn.
Why do what you do? Do you express who you really are? Do you show up as you without apology? Is where your energy going serving you? Are you out for you and you alone? Can you see into the truth that putting yourself first helps you serve the world around you?
What about this one: How clear are you that expressing your creative side is a service to the world around you? That enjoying yourself and your life is part of expressing your divinity?
The times you’ve been irritated/agitated/ticked off or found yourself in admittedly silly or very serious arguments are indications that how you do Mars can use some updating. Maybe you need to stand up for yourself more. Maybe it’s time for you to learn to argue in healthy ways. Or to learn that argument or standing up for yourself doesn’t have to end with everything in flames.
Now that the planet is moving direct again, creative energy and the energy of doing and standing up for yourself can get back on their feet. Right now it’s moving slowly. Keep an eye open over the next few weeks for things to get moving again. Opportunities will come your way to get back on your own Martian feet and put what you learned during the retro period to good use.
