Transit Lab: Moon conjuncts Neptune square Neptune

It’s been a couple of years since I’ve remembered many dreams. Meetings with guides of various kinds however I often remember well into waking. This is from this morning:

I am in a Sprouts grocery store (a local chain) in the check out line.  The man in line behind me and I begin to speak.  He is tall, well over 6 feet, and has a beard.  Dressed casually.  I have a vague hint that he seems familiar.  I feel that I need to talk to him more after we are each walking away from the store and to our cars.

I am then somehow in his huge home.  Friends and I have gone there and it is to be a short visit to pick something up or leave something.  I see him briefly and now he has no beard and I am entirely sure that I have seen him before.  I think he must be someone well-known and I decide to ask his wife.  He goes elsewhere and I don’t see him again.  I tell her I hope this is not inappropriate but I feel I’ve seen her husband before and ask from where I might know him.  She steps down from a few stairs up until she is on the step above me.  She is stunning.

She is kind and talks with me for a few minutes.  Two infants are on a couch behind us, with their backs to us.  One is Caucasian and one is brown, genders indeterminable from this angle.  As we talk her face appears as painted in blues and white, reminding me of a modernist painting.  At one point she gets close to my face not in an intimate move but it seems that it is about getting her mouth close enough to my face so that I know that she can devour others, perhaps just men – I don’t know.  But I am clear that she can help me understand who her husband is and I do not feel threatened. › Continue reading

Decoding Neptune: How Do You Know What’s True?

On some recent episodes of The Soul’s Journey radio show I’ve explored aspects of living a Neptunian life in conscious ways. I’ve done that in part because living the life/working the job that I do (they are essentially the same) I have to work through Neptunian fog on a regular basis. Things can get confusing both in non-mental info sources surrounding a person as well as our normal human tendency to trust what is shiny because we’d like that it turn out to be true.

I often use the image of fog. Neptune presents a fog and we have to learn to see through it. Things that are or might not be true surround us and we have to learn to discern what is true so we don’t deceive ourselves, fall for illusion, and/or get lost.

We love falling for what seems true and can get ourselves in tail spins trying to discern the actual truth.  That is, once we find out that the thing we fell for isn’t in fact real. How to get through this?

We have to train ourselves to live with Neptune in conscious ways. I reject the idea that we can’t really talk about or understand Neptune, an idea far too prevalent in astrology. It’s floating around out there because our Mercurial minds cannot grasp what the Neptune thing is all about and so they essentially throw their arms up in the air while making it seem like Neptune is inscrutable.

I can assure you that Neptune is knowable.

The fog that comes and goes with Neptune serves the purpose of inspiring us over time to learn to look through and beyond it.

How to do this, you ask? You have to learn to live with your own Neptunian self while staying grounded and clear about what is really happening.

February 3rd begins my Intuitive Skills Development class in which you will learn about your non-Mercurial ways of knowing, including Neptune. The course is a tour through your psyche and consciousness – and therefore your energy field – that will teach you to deal with Neptune in a way that allows for your own personal evolution of consciousness.

Tools and perspectives I’ve gained, learned, developed, and practiced over the last decade – since my intuitive opening/awakening – will be brought in as well as meditation with and energy work by Ascended Master Djehuty, a.k.a. Thoth, St. Germain, and Merlin. Thoughts on MLK, Jr

Today is his observed birthday, which is what happens when your memory is adopted or co-opted by a government and used as a work holiday. You’ve done something so cool that your birthday is now for everyone and the actual date you were born is secondary.

I use how he used and embodied his Pluto in Cancer/3rd house frequently as an example with clients learning to give themselves permission either to begin speaking out or to tell the truth (you can read my take on his soul, life, and death in The Soul’s Journey I: Astrology, Reincarnation, and Karma with a Medium and Channel).

King’s Plutonian empowerment journey with Pluto in the 3rd house required him to face the fact that what he thought and said needed to be aligned with what he perceived is truth. Over the course of many lives he would be both empowered and disempowered through learning, teaching, writing, and speaking. Some with Pluto in the 3rd are reeling from the multilife effects of being on one or both sides of the fence with lying, dishonesty, and the manipulation of information. This can lead in some lives to being determined to learn and speak the truth if one gives the self permission to do it. Because some of the disempowerment with Pluto in the 3rd house in some lives can be about being hurt or killed – overpowered in a Plutonian way – because of what you learn, write, think, or say.

King also had rx Neptune in Virgo in the 5th house, indicating that orienting his personal and creative expression toward something extrahuman was needed. There are some lives of this soul in which the humans make choices (Virgo) to gratify the ego (Neptune in the 5th) and when we do that it’s possible to leave out the spiritual quest and/or alignment with truth. In others lives with this signature he probably leans toward asceticism in an effort to get closer to God. Neptune square the nodes says that the soul’s manifested selves (ahem, humans) are exploring the right ways and reasons to do Neptune and how choice and ego factor into the equation. It’s retrograde and so he needed to invent his own Neptunian wheel about why and how to do it. In Virgo there is the element of choice, responsibility, and perhaps at times sacrifice – he is free to deny his spiritual self in favor of Earthly pleasures and in some lives he probably does. There’s nothing wrong with ego over the course of many lives we each learn that doing something extrahuman with ego is what truly satisfies us in the long run.

(We explore all sides of chart potentials over the course of many lives – I’m not trying to defame or deify him here!)

Pallas Athene in Aquarius/10th is also square the nodes. Pallas is in part about standing up for or defending something. In Aquarius that thing is and needs to be (and cannot help but be) different, counter to the prevailing norms, perhaps a bit rebellious or iconoclastic. This is happening in the 10th house and King needed to stand up for something in public that would likely be seen as rebellious and different.

In Seeing Through Spiritual Eyes: A Memoir of Intuitive Awakening you can read about my encounter with an angelic energy with which King was aligned. I had been meditating on a photo of King and this being came to contact me directly, and it was awe-inspiring. Through that experience I got a first-hand taste of what it means to align with truth and I think this was not only central to King’s journey with that Pluto and those squares to the nodal axis but also one of the most important things we can take away from his life.

It is an example of aligning with one’s truth to the point that universal, divine truth is welcomed in. When King opened his mouth he shared the vibration of truth and we need to let this inspire us to align our mouths and brains with our spiritual and heart centers.

I use him as a model to keep me mindful of trimming unnecessary thoughts and worry in favor of working in directions that serve all aspects of my being. I also encourage others to do the same through choosing increased awareness of the energies generated by their minds and how those are identified with and turned into verbal and other expression.

What would your life be like if your mind surrendered its skills and know-how to serve the love in your heart? It would be like King’s: you would inspire people when you speak and act because you would be doing so from your heart not in a purely emotional way but with your heart as the leader of all parts of you seeking to orient toward manifesting your own personal truth.

And if you choose to manifest it I guarantee that in the process you will be lead, drawn, and magnetized to opportunities that provide you time and space to do what is in your deepest self to do.

And speaking of deifying King, he in a sense deified himself by inhabiting his divine nature. That’s not about feeding an out-of-control ego but aligning ego with something outside the self in which one believes. Speaking the truth for him brought the wisdom of his soul to the surface. Each and every one of us can do the same thing! Don’t worship King or anyone else as a hero but take the example of the choices he made and learn to see how you can make empowered choices. Use him as an example and align with your own truth, letting it lead you to divine truth.

Live Tonight at 6 pm Pacific on The Soul’s Journey: Adventures in Consciousness

I’ll share two experiences of mine separated by 13 years that have to do with non-chemically altered consciousness. The first was before I had any context for such things and therefore it was confusing and painful. The second was last week and I was able to navigate it consciously because of the years of getting grounded and working with conscious evolution.

In one way this will be an extension of the conversation on December 20th with Meredith Smith on living a Neptunian life – how to do it more consciously and intentionally, and how to work with curve balls when they come to you.

Thursday 12/20 6-7 pm Pacific time Meredith Smith will join me on The Soul’s Journey radio show to discuss her book Dream Workers, Behind the Veil: Night Shift Dreams and living a Neptunian life as a medium, intuitive, and dream interpreter.

Meredith has kindly agreed to share her birth data/chart with us and discuss her own soul’s journey. She’ll hear my insights into that journey live on the air and we’ll discuss it in terms of her work and the process of developing it and coming to offer her intuitive and interpretive services.

I’m excited to bring her on the air with me for several reasons including the opportunity to hear from someone living a distinctly Neptunian life in a conscious, proactive, productive way. We need to hear from healthy models of living Neptune out in the open and from what I can tell from Meredith’s book and conversing with her, she’s doing it right.

Neptune goes direct on November 11th

What’s true?

How do you know?

Where do you get info that competes to have get labeled true?

What do you find worth surrendering to?

How do you relax? Are you willing to let life take care of the tough stuff? Or anything at all?

Do you feel at home here on this blue-green globe? What about in your body?

Neptune’s entrance to Pisces (blog, MP3) earlier this year asked us to figure out some (or all) of these things for ourselves. Its annual 5-month retrograde period is just about over – it will station at 0 Pisces 21.

For the last 5 months we’ve had to rethink how we approach Neptune and the notion of surrender. Parts of us that attempt to control reality might not have such confident footing as they did prior to the retro period.

Many of us will explore surrender and ceasing control-oriented behaviors and feel out of place, challenged, not trusting of life or ourselves. There’s an important chance with this planet in this sign to learn to swim in whatever kind of environment we find ourselves in at a given time. It’s about adapting but it’s also about tapping into the feeling of truth – the vibration – in order to steer ourselves into better life experiences and situations.

As energetic beings, we each have intuitive radar but we might not always trust it. We innately possess also a sensitivity to energy and emotion that we eventually need to learn if we are going to remain (or become) sane. Neptune in Pisces asks us to give in to our radar and sensitivity while learning to use them in conscious ways.

The retro period of the last 5 months has had all of us finding out often in subtle ways how this works in our lives. As it goes direct soon it lets us know that it’s time to figure out how to move forward again. Make sure that you are taking with you what you learned over the last 5 months!

For some of us that might mean unwinding meaning we’ve assigned to why flow isn’t happening in our lives. Neptune wants to work with us when we admit the existence of something true outside us and release enough blocking beliefs, tension, and resistance to learn to flow with it.

For others it might mean becoming willing to approach our relationship with ourselves as energetic beings in new ways. What we eat and in all other ways consume affects us energetically and ultimately emotionally and physically. What are we willing to have in our lives so far that actually makes us sick in some way? The 5 months of this retro would have served to heighten your awareness of this and, actually, your sensitivity. You might have developed little things that look like allergies during this retrograde period and if so, know that it is about the energies that are surrounding you in your world.
