The Pluto Square for Pluto in Libra People

Saturday, July 17th, 2010 | Astrology, Pluto | No Comments

Those with Pluto 0 to 7 degrees of Libra (born 1972-early 1974) should be dealing these days with questions like these. At the soul level they are learning about fairness, balance, equality, justice, and harmony, and often through relationships with others. We all learn this but this group is at the soul level majoring in it.

Qs for them:

Who are you when no one else is around?

Who are you if no one wants to know who you are?

Have you for whatever reason become a chameleon? Can you see how this has created your relationships?

What in how you relate to others is ready to shift? What about this chameleon self is ready to be left behind?

Saturn Heads Back Into Libra: Meeting the Other

Saturday, July 17th, 2010 | Astrology | No Comments

Saturn’s close to re-entering Libra - it’s a few days off. Here’s a handful of previous posts and articles on Saturn in Libra from me, to get a feel for what I’m thinking about this transit: Saturn in Libra, Saturn in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn, and the retro.

Virgo as a way of doing things is about a lot of things including specificity, improving things, and gaining an uncompromisingly realistic view of what is going on and how it can work better. In the natural zodiac Libra follows it, with Libra being the way of doing things that works with others. At its best it understands the value of compromise and seeks to create balance and harmony, most notably with others.

The shift from Virgo to Libra always has us taking what we’ve been working on by ourselves into the realm of other people. It is where we first show others what we’ve been up to for as long as we’ve been Virgoing on whatever project or idea has been on our plates. When we hit Libra it’s also time to listen to others, to take in advice and counsel from those who might be able to help us or with whom we can join forces to achieve a goal.

As Saturn’s been transiting Virgo your attention has been put on what does and what does not work in how you do things. You’ve been working on improving things on your own, whether health, work/methods, organizational - um - “prowess”, and how it is that you serve others and the world around you. Perhaps this process lead you to a new sense of humility, bringing you able to see in what ways you are not actually perfect (because no one is; there is no such thing - major Virgo medicine, by the way) and getting clear on how and why you might want to improve certain things anyway. › Continue reading

Solar Eclipse in Cancer, Briefly Part II

Sunday, July 11th, 2010 | Astrology, Karma, Lunations | 4 Comments

I did a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy, and was in my head for most of my life. I just met someone who did a PhD in the subject. She asked me how I got to Tucson. I told her that I asked my spirit guides where I could go to write the books I was thinking of writing but didn’t have the inner space to write.

She said immediately, “Oh I don’t believe in that.” I said, “It doesn’t matter if you believe it,” a little perplexed at the pat answer.

But I got the reflection of how I used to be. The eclipse was on my South Node in the 10th house, and I have a past in this life and others being really stuck in my head. Deciding with Capricornian/10th house certainty what I believe is true without having experienced much of anything directly. The Capricorn archetype is a lot about fashioning the world around it in terms of the shoulds it believes should be true.

I saw myself as I am now, in contrast to the academic. Let’s just say that I’m really glad I knew in college that philosophy couldn’t in fact answer all of my questions and didn’t pursue it further. And then after a few years of a kind of limbo I had the world as it really is, and I as I really am, shown to me. And this way of being is unbelievably more cool than stressing with the mind about how the world should be, and how I should be.

The more we live in our heads the more we try to create the world around us as we think it should be. The more we miss what is actually happening.

The more we fail to notice the truth of who we are.

Most of the people in our world are stuck in their heads. It’s what we train each other to do.

But it isn’t enough. It’s just not who we are anymore. Or who we are becoming. We’re spiritual beings with awesome minds - let’s let our minds work with the rest of us instead of letting them run everything. You will never get where your soul is trying to go by staying inside your head!

The Solar Eclipse in Cancer, Briefly

Sunday, July 11th, 2010 | Astrology | No Comments

I am sitting in a coffee shop where I write, working on a writing piece on the Pluto Square for the Libra and Scorpio generations.

When I realized the eclipse is coming up I decided to take a few minutes to meditate, letting all the noise around me slip into the background. This eclipse is in my 10th house on my South Node and square my 1st house Uranus-Mars, so who knows how this will want to manifest! I thought I’d cultivate some openness by getting out of the way.

When I opened my eyes, a few minutes before the eclipse, three people asked me questions. They seemed to be lined up.

Cancer/10th house energy can come out as helping others, as showing up in the world as someone who helps others. Who takes care of others. And for a minute I was in great demand for a few little things. Conjunct my South Node, we can know that my soul has some lives under its belt of some kind of public service. My work now does fit that symbolism, but for a minute it was focused on something other than work - I was surrounded by people I could give answers to.

What house was the eclipse in for you? Where do you help others? In what part of life do you approach things and people through an emotional lens?

But the real questions with this eclipse have to do with what new beginnings re that part of life it is time for you to make. What about your existing patterns work? What doesn’t?

We live usually with the input of the Sun and Moon together, having an ongoing and evolving dialogue between reason and feeling. During an eclipse one voice or influence is lessened, leaving us with the other emphasized. I often experience it as the volume turned up - usually two voices are influencing everything and now one is quieter or not audible. With the Sun eclipsed Moon is left. We are left to feel into the moment, to get to know what it is that we need in that moment.

Because we are talking about Moon and the sign of Cancer, this can be about your home, family relationships, what you eat when and why, and other things. The energy of the new moon can support you in beginning new patterns that serve your health and well-being. Tap into the feeling of what you need to do to let your monkey mind chill out for a bit and you’ll get what this new moon eclipse is inviting you to do.

Unraveling Karma Episode 18

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010 | Astrology, Chiron, Karma, Pluto, Podcasts | No Comments

Robin Blue writes in to ask about feeling like she has a “wait” or “hold” order from life, and also about her two yods. I address her having manifested deception in her life as well. Hanne asks about her feeling that her soul has been re-birthed in her body following a stroke last year.

Checking in with Lilith

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 | Astrology, Chiron, Lilith | No Comments

The true Black Moon is in early Pisces conjunct retrograde Chiron in the first degree of the sign.

In many ways Lilith is not established in our vocabulary. Lots of us are curious and talking about her but we still seem to think that she is demonic and not much else. How many of us really want to delve into something we believe is demonic?

I retell Lilith’s story and separate out the myth we have received (that because of her demonic nature she should be feared and shunned, or abused and stomped on) from the archetype as we actually live it. Many of us, men and women, are running around living the energy and stories of Lilith. And there are some of us who know when we do so that we are not demonic.

I want more of us to get the real deal with Lilith. Check out my true Black Moon Lilith natal report if you want to know the whole story and how Lilith figures in your chart and life.

In Pisces, our connection to the wild/untamed within us and in the world around us is cultivated by surrendering to it. Lilith represents an energy we have generally not been taught to accept within ourselves and in others - if we or they cannot be controlled, the teaching goes, it’s bad and needs to be broken or forced into shape to get with the program…which is usually about control.

Pisces is the lens of the zodiac that always offers the invitation to go with the flow. It shows us how letting go of control is good for us. That Chiron is retrograding there now says that there are paths to healing through surrender and releasing (the illusion that we have any) control.

What invitation is here for you now? In Pisces it might be in your peripheral vision, making looking directly at it cause it to evaporate.

With Chiron and Lilith here, you need to feel into the moment. Feel into what you know you need to do now. It might have to do with this conjunction in Pisces, asking you to let go of your hesitancy to trust (surrender) that things are unfolding in exactly the way they are for good reason.

Saying that there is a grand plan is not the same as saying that there is such a thing as destiny - there is not. But for each of us, the unfolding plan has to do with experiencing elements of life that support our souls in learning what they signed up to learn. The true Black Moon Lilith and Chiron together in Pisces tell us that we can all let go more into the perfection of the unfolding of our individual plans.

That said, because we’re talking about energy and energy is mutable, our souls’ plans can be updated. If you don’t like something that’s going down for you right now, call me for a private session to find out what you are supposed to be learning and how you can do so and release the need for things to unfold in the way they are now.

Cardinal Grand Cross Predictions

Friday, June 25th, 2010 | Astrology | 1 Comment

Pluto in early Capricorn…square Jupiter-Uranus in early Aries.

Square Saturn in late Virgo but soon to be Libra…square Mercury-Sun in Cancer.

Want to know what will happen? Want to know about the financial markets, the ongoing drama with the Gulf oil spill? Well, all I’m prepared to predict is on the individual level.

I’m not much one for mundane astrology because we create the world around us. We create our worlds around us by the energy we are holding. What will happen with those external things? The truth is that no one knows. People have free will and then they create the world around them as reflections of the energy you are holding within you.

Are you afraid of what will happen with this Cardinal Grand Cross? Then you will create things to be afraid of.

If you decide not to be afraid of what you cannot control and will likely not touch you in important ways, then this post is for you.

Here’s what can be predicted for us on the individual level.

1. You will be challenged to change. Friction between bodies in cardinal signs

2. You will be asked to risk something big. Uranus-Jupiter in Aries square retro Pluto in Capricorn ask you to dig through who you think you are because of your history, what has happened to you before, and let it go so you can be present enough to feel what in the moment now is pretty exciting and will take you into some new way of being.

Saturn in Virgo opposing Uranus-Jupiter in Aries and square that Pluto invite you to be painfully realistic about the realities of the choices in front of you as you become willing to overthrow any stodgy or tyrannical voices within you that keep you from changing for the better.

3. You will be invited to give something up in the spirit of losing something deeply entrenched that just doesn’t work for you. And has never worked. Or worked when you were 12.

Pluto retroing through Capricorn involved in this cross guarantees that it is time for each of us to revisit any inner voices that might have been adopted from others in the past that we use to create our lives now.

4. You will be invited to go with your instinct. There is something coming up for you now that says, “I’m working with a time-limited window of opportunity and I want you to jump. I want you to leap into something you’ve always wanted to do and forget all the mental constructs in place that keep you from choosing it.”

The power of choice becomes unbelievably evident with this cross. Whatever you want to create, it wants to show you why you are not doing it. Scared of change? Hesitant to be seen as what and who you truly are? How important will you let those fears continue to be?

The cross wants to you give up the idea of yourself and get on with being yourself.

Comment here and tell me this cross is manifesting in your life. What are you being asked to give up and what are you being asked to leap into?
